1. "Oh Sweet Lorraine"
"Oh Sweet Lorraine" is a song written by Fred Stobaugh, a 96 year old man, for his late wife. He entered an online song contest put on by the music studio Green Shoe by sending in his entry via regular mail in a large manila envelope. Mr. Stobaugh's song did not win the contest but did win over the heart of Green Shoe's Jacob Colgan.
"I started to read the lyrics and was so touched by the song and without even meeting Fred we thought, we're going to do something," Colgan said.
With Mr. Stobaugh's permission Green Shoe brought the lyrics scribbled in a heartfelt letter to life. The video below tells the story by Fred Stobaugh himself along with Jacob Colgan of Green Shoe music studio. So touching; a heart-warming, tear jerking tribute to a 73 year long marriage of love.
2. Football Nails
The 2013 NFL regular season starts September 5th with a Thursday night game between the Baltimore Ravens and Denver Broncos. We love some football in this household and I love being festive. In celebration of the return of football and more importantly football parties I am loving the idea of Football Nails.
Here is a cute tutorial from Jen over at Polish and Pearls

3. Skinnygirl MOSCATO
I love to have a bottle of Moscato around for impromptu girlie time. Why not just any wine? Well, I have found that even those who don't typically care for wine still love a glass of a simply sweet Moscato. It is sweet, fruity and delicate. Best stated by Skinnygirl on their site, "You can take our Moscato wine anywhere, from a laid-back picnic to a formal affair. She’s elegant and classy, while still down-to-earth -- just how we like it!" It helps that Skinnygirl Moscato is only 100 calories for a 5 oz glass.
So sip and gossip chat away! ;)
