My husband and I felt moved to adopt a family this year for Christmas.  I combed through multiple Craigslist posts on the community board before I arrive at the CL post to the left.

Feeling moved and determined to help this family I went to work.  At first I wasn't making much ground.  I took to Facebook and posted on my personal page as well as a local Buy/Sell/Trade group page.  I am still blow away at the amount of donations we received. Even the smallest of us can help.  Here is a photo of my 3yr. old son helping wrap the gift for the mother.  I also included in this post a photo of the collection for our 2013 Angel Family.  So cool how when given the opportunity to serve, my community really delivered. Seeing the good in people has made this a great Christmas.  I wanted to share this with you.  I hope if you are not in the true Christmas spirit yet this post can help.  If not, I bet the video below will do it. :)

If you are tech and Photoshop savvy here is a way to get your Christmas cards on the low.  I made the card below with this free iheartfaces free holiday card template I found on Pinterest and will be picking them up today at Walgreens.
I am getting 30 cards for $3.  Here's how:

1.)  Snap or Find on your PC Adorable Pic
2.) Search Pinterest for "free Christmas card template".  Find, Download, Open in Photoshop.
3.) Drag your Adorable Pic into the card template. Position behind the correct layer. Crop to 4x6 or 5x7.  Save as a Jpeg file.
4.)  Go to Walgreens Photo Department.  Order and pickup your prints today for 50% Off with code CYBERMONDAY.
(The 50% Off "CYBERMONDAY" code can be applied to all things photo including gifts and books!)

(Note: You are printing as you would any ol' 4x6 or 5x7 photo.  They will not have a back and they will be on regular photo paper as any regular print would be.  Not any different than doing the photo paper cards with Shutterfly, etc. Only cheaper and NO SHIPPING COST.)

If you're not picky about your cards this is a great way to be frugal, yet still have that personal touch of a photo card to let your loved ones know they are thought about!  This is a great deal even when the Cyber Monday deal has passed!
